COCARE is a collaborative project with 4 partners from Italy (Fondazione Don Carlo Gnocchi Foundation), Cyprus MATERIA Agecare and Switzerland (Dividat AG) and (ETH Zurich). One of the main objectives of CoCARE is to set new standards in the AgeTech sector through a comprehensive system for geriatric rehabilitation which has been created and will be used in the whole continuum-of-care. CoCARE is an innovative, comprehensive system for geriatric rehabilitation. It uses sensitive input devices and a web-based interface to provide evidence-based motor-cognitive training with high usability and quick/barrier-free application in the clinic and at home. The public to be targeted is health care professionals, people who are over 60 years of age and also people who are in rehabilitation process monitored by their physiotherapist. An assessment system is included in the setup for the analysis of the functional status. A digital web -based rehabilitation cockpit helps as a centralized management in the whole process.
The Components of the system:
- SENSO: is a training device to improve cognitive and motor functions and it is used in an institutional setting.
- SENSOFLEX: is a training device to improve cognitive and motor functions and it is mainly used at home
- DIGITAL REHAB COCKPIT
- The digital rehab cockpit enables a use case management for health professionals that allows to individualise the training programs and see results along the way.
COCARE is designed for treatment in geriatric health care and rehabilitation pathways. It begins during the inpatient and outpatient treatment of patients in clinics, hospitals or other treatment centers and continues, under the supervision of a therapist, in the home environment.
Results revealed high enjoyment scores and substantial interest in future communication through telerehabilitation highlight the growing acceptance and enthusiasm for this innovative approach in patient care. Users have expressed positive feedback regarding the seamless integration of telerehabilitation systems, noting how these platforms enhance their rehabilitation experience by providing convenient and effective remote support.
The Dividat Senso is already used by more than 300 institutions worldwide.
The CoCare digital health tool will be sequeled by the ProHealth project which is at its infant stage.
