Materia Group

Materia Group was founded in Nicosia, Cyprus in 2000. It is a private-sector, multi-shareholder social enterprise dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for older adult populations.

As a registered SME, we combine expertise, innovation, and compassion to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care, nursing, health, rehabilitation, and wellbeing services.

Location

Materia Unit is situated in Latsia; a location that is easily accessible from the highway and all parts of the city. Our premises are located next to the Athalassa Protected Forest, one of the most beautiful green areas in Cyprus.

built Experience

We have over two decades of experience in providing nursing care, physiotherapy, cognitive and occupational therapies, neuropsychological evaluation, psychosocial support, recreational and educational programs, and specialized transportation services, across residential, daycare, home, and outpatient models.

This experience gives us unique insights into the needs of both community-dwelling individuals, inpatients and outpatients.

Innovation

Through our Applied Research and Development Department, established in 2014, we continuously invest in research, digital transformation, and modern rehabilitation tools. From advanced assessment technologies to novel training and therapeutic equipment, we ensure our services remain at the forefront of healthcare innovation. Our participation in major EU-funded projects (Erasmus+, Horizon 2020, AAL, Eurostars, EEA Grants) continuously reinforces our commitment in developing and applying cutting-edge solutions.

Award winning

Recognized for our commitment to social innovation, Materia Group was honored with the Gold 2021 and the Bronze 2022 Social Responsibility Award in Health & Technology (Cyprus Boussias Awards, 2021, 2022). These achievements show our dedication to integrating ethical, effective, and technologically advanced practices into all aspects of our work.

Social Innovation &
Sustainable Impact

We believe in creating lasting value. Every project and innovation is designed with sustainability in mind. Our outcomes are reused, upscaled, and shared nationally and across Europe.

We greatly value intergenerational programmes bringing together younger and older individuals to create meaningful impact in their communities.

Our extensive partnerships with universities, associations, and social enterprises strengthen our capacity to sensitise new professionals and gain fresh insights from them to improve our practices.

Committed to Quality of Life & Active Ageing

Our mission is simple yet powerful: to enhance the quality of life and social inclusion of vulnerable adults, including older adults, people with disabilities, and those facing social or geographical isolation. Every initiative, service, and innovation we deliver is guided by this commitment to dignity, empowerment, and wellbeing
